She actually feels guilt. I’d say that makes her better. Still a bad person, but better than HR.

you could argue that that does make her worst though. She feels guilt because she knows it’s wrong but did it anyway.

You could argue that the Tube people are an accident and that they probably signed releases and all that legal stuff and that not telling authorities was to protect them in this unprecedented situation.

it’s a slim argument but it’s still there but Ferris was straight up murdered. She didn’t call the police she’s an accessory after the fact and thus just as guilty as HR. But, where he seems broken to the point of no longer knowing right from wrong she still knows what she did was wrong but she did it anyway…. so she’s worse

I don’t agree. She’s guilty of covering up HR’s crimes, yes, but she was not a party to any murders. My understanding is that the Five agreed to the tubes, as you wrote, but the problem is that HR and Carol cannot seem to wake them up. So, they’ve been hiding it, so as not to have the world crash around them, and they’re trying to fix it – or at least they were before HR decided he needs to become a god.
So all this time, Carol was trying to do good, and to protect HR so he could fix the problem(s).
From her perspective, things have flipped upside down literally overnight and she hasn’t figured out how to deal with the reality change yet – she’s still in automatic “protect HR” mode. What she does in the coming days (comic time) is what will prove her character – does she go all-in with a murderer, or does she do something to stop him (on her own, or via the authorities)?

Personally, I ain’t gonna make moral value judgements on either of them. It ain’t my style.
I will, however, note that the both of them have made poor choices from the perspective of self-interest. Choices that are going to have grave consequences.

        … No. That wasn’t a pun. ¬_¬

I hope there’s no bad blood even after the email. It would be nice for Ferris if they could give him a hand with his next job, perhaps in the form of a glowing reference. It would be a real leg up for him if he wants to continue in software development. H. R. didn’t really pick his brain while he worked for Hurricane, but now I think we can all see what Ferris is made of- and any way you slice it, Ferris is cut out for this kind of work. A shame he’s resigning, but I guess it’s better than getting the chop during downsizing. I just hope his departure doesn’t leave the company shorthanded.

It’s a safe bet that H.R. saw that Ferris came in handy with the Kingdoms of Arkerra project, and is sorry that Ferris had to split. And, in the end, a part of Ferris will remain with the project.

Past few strips have been pretty rough on my tear ducts to be honest. I liked that guy. Now I wanna see an HR bitchslapped. +1 if you agree. Although I don’t know who would have the balls out audacity to challenge a man on the verge of becoming an ancient one level psychopath… Another thought: anyone else think that ol’ HR went off the total deep end right about the time he got all spiffy clean and front page prettied up? Nothing screams sociopathy like a well dressed head of a blizzard parody company, amirite?
