Yes, quite a stickler–the party chased off the nuns, but it was a hollow victory.

Scip really ought to send someone to let the Guild know they’ve been attacked.
Because no matter what the Order of the Burning Open Assholes (or whatever they’re calling themselves these days) wants to attempt? That seriously wrecks it.

Also: We get to find out how much “The Scorpion” knows about poisons!

No see, if they don’t return, that is the message. When you believe somebody’s up to illicit stuff and the inspectors don’t come back, that means “paydirt, send in better armed force”

See, this is one of the things I like about Guilded Age:
    Sensible costume design

In any other comic/setting that last panel would have been chainmail-pantyshot/fanservice.

I think Frigg should get into more fights while trying to meet up with E-merl for sex, that way we get sensible chainmail-pantyshots.

And not covering your head and neck when you put your armor on bites yet another fantasy game character. It’s okay, they deserve it.

Of course, the unarmored nuns deserve what will likely follow more.

The poison is probably a paralytic agent. Frigg dropped because she can’t breath. Even the toughest of people will have a hard time against that.

I’m not sure they’re carrying nonlethal doses. She knows she can handle nearly any opponent with regular combat; why carry around poison that doesn’t pack a mean punch?
