“We’re more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can’t give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They’re all blood, you see.”

OK it was Ferris’ missing arm that made her puke. Guess she ain’t gonna tell him, not right away. He is wearing a solid tie again, this doesn’t look good. Any way looks like Carol is down for the struggle.
i’l be honest, i think more likely the state of the body than the missing arm specifically, despite what she’s saying here. i doubt she truly paid enough attention whilst disposing of a head-beaten workmate to be “oh, the arm is missing…how horrible” about it all:D
There’s a huge difference between, “Oh, I had to kill a guy to protect our secrets. Help me bury the body,” and “By the way, I also chopped off and kept a piece. For reasons and future uses.”
Very different degrees of, “What have I gotten myself into?”
Aha. Stuttering, pauses… Looks like Carol, her pushing Shanna away notwithstanding, still has doubts about her beloved H.R. and his Better Godhood for a Better Tomorrow project.
Huh. Weird. This little conversation reveals that Ferris’s body was not quite in the state I thought it was. I thought HR sawed him up to pieces to make him ‘compact’….
Kinda wonder… That sleeve roll frame. Did HR transplant Ferris’ arm onto himself with his *Magic*? Probably reeeeally jumping to conclusions but it seems an odd focus.
“All stories are, sooner or later, about blood.”
Or in this case, severed body parts.
It’s always got to be blood. Blood is life. It makes you warm. Makes you hard. Makes you other than dead.
Hogfather, by Pratchett?
Yes.

Oh god, here comes the dlc…
Worst pick up line ever!
Well, third worst.
Well, if you don’t mind waiting my pants will be on sale soon.
Pants, half-off! Limited time only!
Soiled ex-shelf stock, absolutely must go! Before they leave on their own!
It’s time for Señor Vorpal Kickasso to defeat HR and his purple tie familiar.
Ooh, cross-comic connection caught. I concur.
Indeed. :-) I support that too.
Poor Carol, how deep into it is she really?
Also, I sense more tubes will soon be in use.
Deep enough to learn how to force choke Mrs. Longnose, I hope.
Let’s please not start up that kind of talk again, ‘kay? (The “wishing death on Shanna” bit. I don’t care about the nose thing. :) )
Hmm, so Carol’s the only thing keeping HR sane(ish)?
The one thing most people need to accomplish something terrible, is to have someone there to share their opinion.
OK it was Ferris’ missing arm that made her puke. Guess she ain’t gonna tell him, not right away. He is wearing a solid tie again, this doesn’t look good. Any way looks like Carol is down for the struggle.

Very different degrees of, “What have I gotten myself into?”
Also a big difference in the gore levels involved when the body is still intact vs. the alternative.
Actually, the tie was a continuity error on our part. One we wouldn’t have noticed if not for you, so thanks!
Hit refresh and see the return of the stripes.
HR has his tie. And now that Carol is up for the position of co-demiurge, it’s time for her to get her own signifier. I say, bright green lipstick.
Carol’s has had a signifier all along. The problem is that it’s sepia coloured, so nobody could tell.
I concur! I sense a purple neck scarf in the works unless of course purple is HR’s IME in which case bright green might work.
Not sure why Carol is carrying a Med-kit?(to put the arm somewhere?)
Considering what happened last time he ‘needed’ her? She came prepared
Obviously HR wants a newer, faster, stronger, less hairy arm.
Soon there will be many arms… many limbs.
all roads lead some where but it is the roads to hell that are most often paved with good intentions.
HR, who are you trying to convince that you’re really broken up about Ferris’ death? If it’s “nobody,” then you succeeded.
Why does HR need a severed arm to arm wrestle a digital world running amok back into submission?
Him rolling up his sleeves in panels 1 and 2 can’t be a coincidence.
H.R.’s computers use ARM processors.

Aw, Carol doesn’t think the arm is cute? I think he’s adorable! I will hug it and squeeze it and name it George.
aww… i was gonna name it Ferris…
One arm is only the beginning – eventually they’ll be … countless?
Has no one else commented on the fact that H.R. suspects her? Panel 3 isn’t exactly subtle.
“Let’s bring some wonder back into the world.”
That’s secret code talking for “let’s make babies, honey”, right?
so, are they, like, gonna make a baby?(!)
Because that would be the babe with the power.
What power?
the cult of the countless limbs doesnt appear to have a diety (yet?) so its probably similar to a natural religion.
im guessing the power would be something like voodoo magic
You Almost got it right. Almost.
the correct response was “who do?”
Nah. Ferris risked life and limb, to satisfy his curiosity. He lost one of each.
Back to the Sepia world already? I hope it doesn’t stay there too long this time.
I find your lack of interest in sepia world to be disarming.
Kinda wonder… That sleeve roll frame. Did HR transplant Ferris’ arm onto himself with his *Magic*? Probably reeeeally jumping to conclusions but it seems an odd focus.
Second panel, Carol is thinking “Please don’t kill me and chop me into little pieces!”
Last panel: they just need to bump hips, why aren’t they bumping hips
