Huh. My first thought was that she was just trying not to be found, but you’re right – maybe she’s putting her affairs in order before disappearing.

I remember when we got revisions back on a mockup we sent to a client that used Lorem Ipsum for the placeholder text.

“Placeholder text is not in English, please fix.”

Good point. But is she still going to publish her story after going to ground? It’s too big a scoop to pass up and it may even be her duty as a journalist to do so regardless of the risks with 6 missing human beings involved.

Perhaps, but you’d probably need something of Shanna’s to attempt anything in the way of magickal tracing or scrying. At least, that would be my assumption based on what little we’ve seen of HR’s work.

If anyone else from the Faans universe is also in this one it’s possible she has friends who are better at data wipes than what we’re seeing. She seems more together in this one so it’s possible she’s friends with them.

Well, Shanna’s doing a pretty good job of vanishing on short notice. The question is, how will she continue to work against Hurricane when she’s effectively unperson’d herself?

At any rate, now that Carol’s finally off the deep end I can stop wondering if she’ll turn on HR and do the right thing. It looked kind of iffy there for a bit after Ferris’s murder. But the way she’s viewing Shanna now makes that possibility rather remote.

Just so you know, not being on FartBook does not mean you are an ‘unperson’, or even unconnected (actually, it kinda does mean you are ‘unconnected’, but not that you don’t have connections)

I was referring more to the rest of her preparations. Y’know, ditching the car, phone, credit cards, and house? Makes her harder to find, but also makes investigating more difficult.

No, not really, she ditched a phone, doesn’t mean she can’t get another to make contact with her contacts, and she probably has enough cash to get by

I hope she has enough cash to cover renting a motel room, rent a car/pay for public transit, and pay for the phone for an extended period of time. Especially since she can’t do any normal work during that time because she can be traced that way.
