    Hammerhead isn’t a berserker, he’s just voracious.

Swiftness. Swiftness? … that’s all ya got for me, hon?
Howzabout invulnerability? and giant-size? NOW we’re talking’!
Speaking of letting my past haunt me, after the victory party and we hit the sack, I sure could use one of those male enhancement potions.

If you’ll recall, the last time somebody used a swiftness potion, Harky’s plans were foiled BIGTIME.

Swiftness seems like a great power boost for our dexterity-minded Byron, but I hope Scipio gets something a little more conducive to his fighting style. AC Boost, Strength Boost, who knows.

Potion of Swiftness: Grants 60 movement speed upon use and plus an additional 100 movement speed over 60 seconds.

To be fair, if he pulled that, he’d probably get shot by his own side again. Given that he’s surrounded by an army and doesn’t tend to pay attention to friend or foe.

Eh, he still might pull it naturally. Who knows? We were just reminded that Byron still has the ability, so perhaps it will come into play naturally. Or in an altered state where he can channel his rage instead of letting it control him. Who knows.

Harky freaked because he thinks it’s contagious, not because he especially fears Byron’s berserker strength.

I think this is part of the power of assembling a group of World’s Rebellion Champions in action. It throws the Peacemakers’ elite squads off their game, coming up against a foe just as organized as themselves. Byron would normally be glad to have help, but he’s kinda freaking out.

    Aren’t all landsharks basically berserkers?

Besides, HAMMERHEAD doesn’t strike me as the berserker type. He seems to me more like the ones who stay coldly, scarily focused and rational at all times. Worse than a berserker, TBH.

Here’s an idea, instead of making an antidote for the suppressant…
We take a dose of the suppressant, and hit that Shark Berserker with it!
Maybe two doses, he looks kinda… big. Three doses?

He hasn’t done anything. Byron’s just putting his own opinions about the invincibility of berserkers forward and calling it fact. Considering how much Harky flipped out about the contagious nature of “berserker syndrome,” there’s no way Harky would allow one of those in his army. You might as well ask about Berserker Minotaurs!

Come to think of it, we have seen two or three people get close enough to a zerked-out Byron and live long enough to worry about infection. There was the cultist posing as a fortune teller, Syr’nj, and Harky. Of course, Harky had the whole “connection to Tectonicus” thing going on, the cultist could have been immunized and Syr’nj died some time afterwards.

…Although, come to think of it, Byron died, too, so that doesn’t seem to cure whatever it is.

But as we saw at the convention, cultists can be granted immunity against madness infection, to be able to spread it wider. Like a Typhoid Mary.
