Annotated 50-20
FB: Blitzing the enemy is about who has lightning-quick speed, not who has actual lightning.
So hey, this has nothing to do with today’s page except that it happened at the same time the page went up…Zendaya went to the 2018 Met Gala as Frigg, apparently.
No, I’m not serious. I think the chances her red hair and plate-like dress had anything to do with Frigg are less than 1%. It’s more like great designers think alike. Red hair and gray plate contrast well. Still, it did feel like the larger world was giving us a little nod as we approached the finish line.
I feel like Frigg would have Opinions on that boob window.
She might accept it, if it means that she doesn’t have to wear an actual dress to an event. A Friggian compromise, if you will.
Frigg has never objected to skimpy clothing…and didn’t mind taking off all her clothes in public with Best on the first mission she went on with the rest of the group, so “objects to a boob window” does not sound like Frigg to me.
Frigg’s objections would be of a more practical nature. She wore skimpy clothes to her very first fight scene, and the bruises she took from that were enough to convince her to invest in plate armor with no obvious holes for opponents to stab through. Of course, her situation’s a little more flexible now that she can make her own armor out of willpower, but her metal armor and weapons are still the totems she builds a lot of her power around. Still, I could see her wearing plate with a boob window if she thought it would tweak some high-society theatergoers’ noses out of joint.
So, I can’t remember if this kind of lightning is lethal (although considering what it does to the hand-held wrecking ball, I would say pretty much.) Following that line, the Watcher seems to stop two branching bolts with her staff, which seems to save her life even though the current forces her to let go of the metalic rod, proppelled backwards. Am I understanding this right? I came to this conclution paying attention to the lightblue sparkling on both sides of the rod, and how a central bolt misses her, and yet she still goes flying back.
Seems right to me!
Brock looks considerably less happy than Bandit.
I think that’s because Bandit proves to be a faster lockpick than he is.
