You may be right. I think, though, that what we’re seeing here is H.R. desperately wanting to believe he can fix this situation that’s gone totally FUBAR, to believe that he can still determine the outcome of this game that’s somehow generated its own universe, one in which the Five are trapped. Maybe at some level he knows, or at least strongly suspects, it’s out of his hands. Or, maybe he doesn’t. If so, that to me makes him deluded, but not villainous as such.

Yeah, I think we need to see what fate he’s trying to write and how it manifests (it’s been made clear he doesn’t have even as many answers as he hopes he does) before we can pigeonhole him as villain, misguided or heroic.

I believe all the newbies are non-embeds, we’ve got the one very into the lore and tying her backstory to a main character, the one who’s going along with thins to bone another player, and the one who doesn’t say a word just fights. I have played with these people.

I think what’s being implied is that when in proximity to the embedded players, the non-embedded players words and actions are “translated” automatically by the embedded ones to make it make sense in the reality they exist in. To the non-embedded players these five are probably just acting like regular players.

And don’t forget gamma. Which, oddly enough, almost makes sense as an expression – something like rotational volume (integral, followed eventually by pi) of radiation (gamma), but based on the natural log rather than the x axis (hence e). I’m sure something meaningful can be made from that. Not sure if it was intended, but that’s death of the author for you.

I’m still confused as to what HR has let go so horribly wrong. He’s what… trapped 5 people in the game accidently? And now can write the story from above, but not influence the players. Kind of like a DM. He also, can’t get them out even by murdering them… apparently.

Since ‘Magick’ is involved, can HR really alter their Fae-ted Destiny?

Can you really alter the courses of bricks already layed? (Frigg has a lot of lays…some better than bricks :)
